About Me

My work sits at the crossroads of journalism, cultural storytelling, and cooking — shaped by my background in broadcast journalism and nearly 10 years working in digital marketing. What started as a hobby turned into a full-time career: from winning America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation Season 1 to becoming a featured chef, doing regular TV appearances, and creating content that’s as thoughtful as it is crave-worthy.

At the heart of everything I do is a love for Black agriculture, supporting Black-owned businesses, and making sure everyone has a seat at the table. I come from a Black Southern family rooted in North Carolina, where I was raised in a rich food culture that shaped who I am today. My grandfather owned a local grocery store and later in life worked to help small food businesses break into major retail chains — and that spirit drives me. Through the content I create and the media platforms I’ve built, I’m focused on closing the gap in marketing and bringing more visibility to Black- and Brown-owned food businesses and agriculture.
